Saturday: Race Prep and ZOOMARun

I don’t remember buying this kind of kcup?  Lucie loves to sit in any basket available.  And right there, she is sleeping where we keep the coffee kcups.   She will be up all night.

There was no long run on Saturday in preparation for Race Day Sunday. Of course, there hasn’t been ANY running since Tues of this week due to sleep and arthritis issues.  But those are all gone now and my legs are antsy to run!  10k here we come.  We will be running the PHX 10k in downtown Phoenix on Sunday.

Today was a day of picking up race packets, errands and then dinner out with my family.  I had a protein bar and coffee for breakfast.  Two chocolate chips waffles with peanut butter for lunch.  A Jamba Juice smoothie.  A scoop of snack mix in the afternoon.  And then we went to Macaroni Grill.  I had the Pasta Milano and a piece of bread.  I brought half of the pasta home.  And then I had a peach.

I have applied to be an Ambassador for ZOOMARun.  ZOOMARun is a race series specifically for, and to celebrate, women.  Their Mission: To inspire women to live healthy, happy & active lives.  Check them out on Facebook, Twitter or their website!  I selected the race in Cape Cod next year.  Fingers crossed that I hear something soon!  It would be great to be able to connect with so many women, all with the same goal.

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.
