Wednesday: Now I Remember

Precor Cardio EquipmentHow BORING this thing is.  I didn’t run Wed because of foot issues.  Let me state now that I have ongoing foot/blister issues and every once in a while, a run is postponed or skipped all together.  It is what has to be done.  But the elliptical.  Blech.  And now I am even considering a double run day to make up for the missed day.  Crazy, I know.  But I am thinking about doing 6 miles in the morning and another 5 in the evening.  Not too bad.

Elliptical: 4 miles / 45 minutes

Meals today were overnight oatmeal made with orange marmalade and mandarin oranges.  Leftover Panda Express from Tues night.  And then chicken with noodles and veggies for dinner.  I also had a strawberry smoothie and some snack mix.  Oh, and a REALLY cold beer.

Question:  If you work out at night, do you shower before you go to bed?  I do.  I don’t like getting in to bed feeling dirty.  But someone else that lives here doesn’t.  And it just irritates me and makes me want to wash the sheets.  Sorry for the mini-rant.  WWPD?

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.

  1. We are total opposites. I love the elliptical and hate running!!! *i put on headphones and zone out* I prefer the elliptical because it’s low impact. http://www.NOFRIESfor365.com

Oh goodness! Make that person shower or at the very least, rinse off. You sweat out toxins and need that away from your skin, your largest organ!?

  3. LOL! Going to bed without showering post-workout is like going to bed without brushing your teeth! The smells just intensify overnight. Good gracious! WWPD indeed!

  4. I make the shower decision on a few factors 1) did I sweat a lot? 2) was it raining and therefore I received a de facto shower? 3) how much time has passed since I worked out? If I didn’t make it home very quickly to shower and the sweat has dried… 4) will I be working out again in the morning as soon as I get up 5) have I already showered more than once that day Given all that, most of the time I shower, but I do think people over do it on the showering.
