Wednesday: Cajun Running

someecards.com - Some women run to enjoy there sweets not me I run to enjoy an Ice cold beerToday was a good run day with one exception:  I had to pee for about 60% of it.  I even took TWO detours and couldn’t find a bathroom to use.  Oh well, I made it through.

Run: 6 miles / 1:09:50

I spent some time getting to know my Garmin after my run. I didn’t realize I could customize all of the screens to show exactly what I wanted.  Go figure.  Guess  I could have read the book that came with it.  Now, after two years, I finally have it set up the way I want it.

Meals were a bit different today. Breakfast was coffee and then PB and Choc Chip overnight oats.

Lunch was soup and veggie straws.  Then there was a peach.  And some carrots.

Then we went to a place called Baby Kay’s Cajun Kitchen for dinner.  I had a Deal Chicken.  The appetizers were AMAZING.  And there was beer.  Then I was too full to enjoy dinner. Michael can have it for lunch.  Gumbo AND Jambalaya.

And then there was the great running debate.  How much running is too much?  Most of us runners (and Six Sigma people) know the answer is always the same: It depends.  On the person, the fitness, the type of running, the plan, the conditions, the mood, the beer, etc. What is ok for me could be too much for someone else (I doubt it, except for a handful of people).   Anyway, you know the debate.  I am just tired of being told that I run too much because someone else doesn’t want to consider that they should be running more.  And that is all I have to say about that.
