Travel Tuesday: Cats in the car

20120702-214353.jpgI get the amazing priveldge of transporting 3 cats over 2100 miles in my car. This is going to be a TREAT!

So, how do you keep 3 cats quiet for threee sraight days without sedatives? I am not sure I have the answer, yet.

But I am working on it.

Luckily, I drive a hatchback and the seats completely fold down. So the cats can have the entire back of the car. I bought a dog grate to block the front from the back and ensure that the cats can’t sneak out the doors during pitstops.

They will have food, water and a litterbox. We invested in new, soft-sided cat carriers. And we will be rehearsing our “dance” of getting all 3 in and out of the car.

My nerves are mostly centered around the hotel rooms. I have heard horror stories of cats getting in the walls or up into the boxsprings. A thorough investigation of each room will be critical.

Not to mention that we will also have two dogs with us.

This could drive me to drink. Oh wait, I already do drink.

Weekend Recap

1310 E Pedro Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85042There are only a couple of things to cover from this weekend.

The BIG news is the selling of the house and the big move.

And I was moved by the news of what Katie and Graham are going through.  Maybe you will be too.

Later we will talk about our trip to the movies this weekend and the big debate it sparked.

And today will be day one of a Half Marathon training plan.  I haven’t quite decided on which plan to follow (12 week, 16 week or 20 week) but the most important part is just to start something.

Our Boston trip in pictures….

Food Friday: Lobster Rolls

Lobster Roll!!!Whenever we plan a trip to Boston, Michael’s first words are LOBSTER ROLLS!  I will spend the next few days watching him cram in as much seafood as possible.  What a treat.

First we have to get the dogs off to daycare.  I have a shitload of work to get done (And conference calls to take in the airport).  And an appt to keep on the way.

I feel like I am forgetting something.

Travel Tuesday: Boston

This weekend we are heading to Boston for a wedding.  You don’t have to ask Michael twice to go to Boston. Jet Blue out of Raleigh is cheap.  And they serve Dunkin Donuts coffee and my favorite animal crackers.  And who can resist the satellite tv in every seat

What will we do?  Other than the wedding on Saturday, I will watch Michael eat as much seafood in 3 days as possible.  It becomes like a game. But if he makes me walk the Freedom Trail again, I will quit.

Speaking of games, we will try for the 1pm Red Sox game on Sunday.  Monday is still up the air.
