Tuesday morning, I decided to test out whether or not swimming is worth the extra effort of getting wet. I did manage to slowly swim 40 lengths of the pool in about 30 minutes. It was ok. It would have been better if the hot tub had been working!
Swim: 40 lengths / 1,000 yards / .56 miles
Then, Christmas came early! My DH bought me my new kicks. Turns out I am NOT a neutral shoe and need some stability. I fully expect my IT Band problems to all magically disappear. I will be holding my breath. And I have a super-high arch.
My choices were between the Asics Kayano 19 and the Brooks Ravenna. To be honest, I couldn’t really feel much of a difference between the two but saw a HUGE difference in the price. About $70 difference. So for that, it went to the Brooks. I can wear them and run in them for 90 days and still bring them back.
And they are pretty. I swear, that wasn’t a factor in the decision.
Briefly: Breakfast was coffee and a protein bar. Then I had two waffles with PB and a handful of Pringles for lunch. An orange. And dinner was Chicken and Wild Rice soup from Paradise Bakery. And a trail mix bar.
