Regarding: Getting Serious this week is not madness enough, you will remember that last week I started a new training plan.  I don’t have a race in mind, yet.  But need a plan to follow anyway.

This morning, I get up ON TIME (a miracle in itself) and am all ready to head out to run.  And it is pouring rain.  This chick don’t run in the rain.  And I have a service appt for my car at 8am.  So to the gym (and then a smelly service appt) it is.

Another reason for the training plan that I haven’t mentioned until now (and it is time) is that a few pounds have found their way back to me.  And by a few, I mean 7.  I should have gotten serious when it was 5.  First I thought it was muscle from Crossfit.  But that is just not true.  I figure the stress of selling a house, finding a house, moving etc was enough to keep me eating like crap and lying to myself.

So it is time to get serious.

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.
