Volkswagen LogoHere we sit like birds in the wilderness…..

That is Michaels’ song.  Something about scouts and waiting around.  I don’t know. But here I am, sitting at the VW dealership for scheduled maintenance.  And something about a recall so I don’t blow up.  And my vanity plate (GO SOX!!!)

I brought (obviously) my computers with me.  And they told me 2 hours.  Which I kind of figured.  But then I realized that I forgot the power cord to my work laptop.  Oops.  That battery will be dead after the start-up alone.

And because I just heard this on the TV…..Let’s hear it for the Greensboro City Council for OPPOSING amendment 1!!!  I am very proud of them.  It is a marriage amendment and it is just WRONG.

Late hockey game tonight from Anaheim.  Running with J after work.

And there is the most ANNOYING man in the waiting room of the dealership.  Listening to his voicemail on speakerphone.  Loud-ass ringtone.  Talking and doing business in a loud voice.  I get it buddy.  You have to work.  But the rest of us don’t have to be subjected to it.  Vibrate.  Mute.  Bluetooth.  Something.

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.

  1. may that jerk drop his phone in a toilet! Hope you don’t have to wait too long. I hate nothing more than waiting for car servicing like that. I think I have to go for a similar recall at VW next month when I’m due for my next service.
