Regarding: Down Under

Home - Australian Open Tennis Championships 2012 - The Grand Slam of Asia/Pacific - Official Site by IBMThis is how I am spending my time these days.  Watching the Australian Open.  And since Melbourne is 14 hours AHEAD, it means a lot of DVR time.  I mean, who can stay up until 4 in the morning (East Coast) to watch John Isner play.  And since he is the only American left in the men’s draw, I have to cheer him on (and that he is from the city I live in).

Fernando Verdasco - water polo playerNow, my favorite player (for obvious reasons) is this guy.  Fernando Verdasco.  And yet Fernando let me down.  He lost in the first round and I didn’t even get to see him play.  I will have to stalk him on the internet.  Or wait for the French Open.

No Spoilers!!!!!

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.

  1. Hi there! Just thought I’d say hi- I’m from Melbourne. The hours are always difficult to link up with the US (or anywhere really!)

The chocolate crack you made looks great but I don’t think I could keep it in the house for obvious reasons!

    • Thanks for checking in and reading! Thank goodness for the DVR as I would never make it through the tennis otherwise. The crack is still in the fridge. But it calls to me all day long.
