Long Run Saturday and Sloth Sunday

This is me today. But first, let me go back to yesterday.

Yesterday I did 7 miles out at Salem Lake.  I didn’t know that the Frosty 50 was also running out at Salem Lake yesterday.  It is a multi-use trail so they didn’t close it for the race.  But I tried to be as respectful of the racers as I could and stay out of their way.  If it hadn’t been for them, I might not have done all 7 miles.  Since they were running 3o and I was running 7, it seemed like I could get through it if they could.

Then there was hot corn dip, chips, football, hockey and (1) beer. The 7 miles was worth it for the dip.

Today is Sloth Sunday.  I haven’t cracked open the paper yet to look at the ad’s (see the resolution regarding spend less).  So this might be me ALL day.  I am making chicken tortilla soup later (coming on Food Friday).

This is my exceptionally ROUND cat Pumpkin.  She is about the sweetest, friendliest cat you will ever meet.  Seriously.

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.
