Food Friday on Saturday: Rugelach
I promised the Rugelach yesterday, but by the time I made the dough it had to chill. And then I didn’t have time to do the rest before leaving for hockey. So the dough stays good in the fridge for a few days, I rolled it out and finished it this morning. Here is the recipe I used.
I didn’t have any walnut on hand so I used almonds. This is another recipe where you can pretty much do whatever you want. Also, I roll the dough into a rectangle and then roll it up and slice it into spirals. You can do whatever appeals to you in terms of shape.
It is an easy recipe, but has multiple steps of prep and then chilling in the fridge. So it is not something that can be done in 30 minutes. But the prep time is more passive than active. And it is all worth the effort.
