Weekend Recap

One word for it:  BLEW.  I don’t know what was (is) wrong with me this weekend.  I didn’t post anything (sorry).  I bailed on a 5k for Sat morning and then didn’t do my long run either. I did make it to the gym and ran a good 4 miles.

imageI did have a good shopping/browsing outing and lunch with friend.  Then we went to the hockey game and that was so-so.  Lots of Penguins fans taking advantage of our lower-cost-of-living drinks and not able to control themselves.  We lost, but we actually played very well. But who CAN’T score with a 6 on 3?  Yup, that would be the Hurricanes.

Sunday was supposed to be sloth day.  You know how that goes.  After being up super-late on Sat, I was up early and even got myself dressed before the neighbors came to collect the guests (yes, they really are gone).  Then I threw together some lunch before heading out for about a gazillion errands, finished off with a trip to Costco.  Then home to put things away, have dinner (can you say Rotisserie Chicken from Costco) and make some sort of baked good for a party/event that Michael has Mon afternoon.

Where was the resting?  The relaxing?  I did allow myself to sleep in a bit today since there is nothing on my calendar.  But I still need to hit the gym and get the soup in the crockpot.

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.
