Food Friday: Something Old and Something New

Food Friday will be a bit delayed today. I am going to spend most of today ( or maybe tomorrow) baking up some goodies for our trip to the beach.  I know for a fact that I am going to make two that I have already shared with you:

Pumpkin Breadand Chocolate Dipped Coconut MacaroonsBut the something new is really going to be a treat.  Sticky Finger Bars.  These tend to take (me) overnight to make because they have to chill in the fridge before you can cut them.  And the colder the better.  So to resist the temptation to cut them too early, I leave them in overnight.

So the cookies will keep.  I may do those tonight.  I will start the Sticky Finger Bars tomorrow and finish them Sunday morning. And the Pumpkin Bread being so incredibly easy I can do after hockey on Sunday.

But you will NOT want to miss the Sticky Finger Bars, so be sure to check back on Sunday for a whole bunch of WOW on those!

But damn.  Now I just remembered how good the Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chip cookies were and may have to do some of those as well.

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.

  1. Not sure if I’ve asked you this before because my mind is leaving me with age. lol But, what do you do with all of these goodies every week. I don’t imagine you two eat them all yourselves, though I guess that is possible. And if it is possible, I envy your metabolism. 🙂
