Regarding: Ambition

Yesterday was not at all a sloth (rest) Sunday. But that is ok, we had a great time.  We went to the Renaissance Festival, then the outlet mall and then Trader Joes.  It was a long day, but a lot of fun too.  Guess it makes up for me sitting around ALL day Saturday, watching the Kona Ironman on the computer.  After the 10 mile run that is.

Now I have to decide what to do with these.  I may have been a bit ambitious on my tulip purchase.  I have vision of beautiful, proud tulips lining my front walkway in the spring.  But that means raking back the mulch, digging up the weeds and soil,  adding the weed and feed, and actually planting the bulbs.  Then moving all that mulch back.  Oh, and moving the solar lights.  I don’t exactly want to tackle all of that work by myself, or at one time really.

No matter what I want or don’t want to do, it will have to get done in the next couple of weeks.  Or I will once again miss the opportunity to plant tulips.

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.
