Regarding: Groceries

This wasn’t even the post I had drafted last night.  But then I saw my email….

I know.  THIS is lame. But it is Wednesday and that means Grocery Store day.  The grocery store ad’s come out in email today and if your area is anything like here, the shelves will be picked clean of all the good deals by 10am.

So every Wed, I get the emails, make my lists and head to the store (after the gym, they are close to each other).

Don’t stand too close behind me in line people!  I said I go to the gym first.

So far, the hot items for  today:  frozen broccoli (that will still be there, people don’t jump on the healthy stuff.  This is the heart attack belt after all), yogurt and spaghetti sauce.  And Propel Zero.  Not really great week.  There were a lot of cookies, chips, ice cream on sale.

This all reminds me that I have a Groupon to use.  Do you make regular trips to the grocery store?  Do you use Groupon?

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.

  1. I love Groupon, but had to recently put myself on a buying hiatus. I don’t really use it the way the makers intended–I stock up on Groupons for places that I already know and love and rarely buy ones for new things. I adopted that habit after going to an outrageously expensive (and kinda gross) sushi restaurant I had never been to. I would’ve been pissed had it not been half off! My favorite Groupon to date was a skydiving jump for $90. IT. WAS. AWESOME. If you have never been, I highly recommend it. It was terrifying leading up to it and for the first 5 seconds in the air, but then once the chute opens it is so quiet and peaceful. Totally worth the busted eardrum! 😉

    • I am the same way. Just use it on things I would have spent the $$ on anyway. Like movie tickets, GNC coupons, etc. OH, And tickets to NKOTBSB!!! hahaha

      • I can’t believe you admitted to buying NKOTBSB tix!! haha! I like you even more now. Loved NKOTB back in the day….even had a nightgown with their faces on it. And theirs was the first cassette tape I bought with my own money! lol
