Regarding: Toys…….

image

Has anyone been down the toy aisle at Walmart recently?  Holy crap there are a lot of toys.

I am attending a 4 year old’s (about to be 4) birthday party tomorrow.  So, of course, a gift is in order.  I thought this would be easier than the shopping trip for the baby shower at the mommy-to-be mecca of Babies R Us (original post here), but it wasn’t that much easier.

Maybe because I think the toys for this particular 4 yr old are TOO COOL (Bumblebee from Transformers is my FAVORITE).  And I couldn’t decide between Captain America, Transformers, Iron Man or various other things.  Or because I am more afraid that he won’t like whatever I chose.  And 4 yr olds tend to tell the truth.

I finally made a decision (after picking up a whole bunch of glo sticks for an upcoming night race).  And just hope it was the right one.  I guess I will know tomorrow!

Anyone want to wrap it for me?

About nfoste2245

I am approaching 40 and have been married since my early 20's. I have become more than a little frustrated with having to answer incredibly personal questions about my choice to not have children. It is apparently taboo to talk about religion and politics, but confronting me about my reproductive choices is fair game. It is not a choice I made alone, quickly or lightly. My husband and I made it together. I am not "withholding" children or grandchildren from anyone. There is an astonishing lack of understanding over the idea that it is an actual choice, to have a child or not. There is also an amazing lack of support, discussion and resources for those like me, that have made the choice. This is not a blog for kid-haters, or mocking people for having kids. It is a place where we can talk about living full lives, without kids, and without guilt.
