I want to sleep as good as this guy.
I don’t sleep all that well. Some nights, I would swear I don’t get more than 20 minutes at a time. I can get to sleep, just can’t stay asleep. Which my doctor says is a pretty common form of insomnia. I have Ambien but don’t like to use it. If I do break down and use it, I take half a pill when I wake up the first time. Sometimes, that is enough to get me back to sleep and just enough to keep me asleep for a while. But it has to be really bad to do that.
When I am deep into a half marathon training plan, I sleep better. And I do my runs in the morning. Duh. But it is still not consistent. It impacts my mood, my disposition, my health, my productivity. Everything.
It’s not noise (earplugs), light (light blocking drapes) or tv right before sleep (I read every night). I don’t drink caffeine after lunch (including chocolate). It is a mystery. Oh well, it is how I sleep. Period.
I read that banana’s are supposed to promote sleep. So the other night, I ate a banana. And then my stomach hurt and I couldn’t sleep. Hahahaha.
